Présentation
Né le 4 Octobre 1971. Etudie à la Tama Art University à partir de 1995, puis rentre à la Gainax. Il était censé commencer comme intervalliste sur Evangelion, mais passe animateur clé extrêmement vite sur la série, puis évolue comme storyboardeur, animateur clé et directeur de l'animation sur Karekano et FLCL.Il travaille ensuite sur des séries comme Microman, Medabots, Abenobashi, où il commence a réaliser certains épisodes (dont le 3 d'Abenobashi) ... Après avoir participé aux courts déjantés "Trava Fist Planet", il réalise son premier moyen-métrage ultra-déjanté "Dead Leaves", où il officie aussi come chraracter-designer, storyboardeur, et directeur de l'animation, démontrant ainsi ses talents multiples. En 2007, il devient mondialement connu pour sa série "Gurren Lagann", grand succès de la Gainax. En 2010, il lance une nouvelle série dans le même studio : "Panty&Stocking with Garterbelt".
