Chibi Maruko Chan
Hi!
This is Daniel with your weekly bad news update ;-P
Maybe it's just me (again), but it seems like the Chibi Maruko Chan clip is out of sync. It starts out ok and then the audio and the video get out of sync.
http://www.catsuka.com/focuson_anim.php ... aki&page=2
I really would like to have a good version of this very original clip! Kinda sounds like the japanese version of "Hit the Road, Jack!"
Thank you very much in advance!

You're right, there's an out-of-sync problem on the first Chibi Maruko Chan clip.
Thanks to notice such problems to me, I encoded more than 100 videos for the new version of Catsuka last november, I admit I have not checked all the files.
I will make a new version of this video (I don't know when).
Hopefully for you, this video is also availaible on my other website Kojimorimoto.net, and it's another video version, normally there's no problem :

Oldies but goldies
Thank you very much!
Btw, do you know who the interpret of that "favorite song - diva" is? I didn't know Japanese had music like that. I'd love to hear more japanese oldies! The recording sounds very old. As if it was actually made in the 40ies or something. Or did they intentionally made it sound like that? Any idea?
There are three other songs I can think of that sound rather old. They are all from different Hayao Miyazaki movies. One is "Rouge no Dengon" from "Kiki's Delivery Service". The second is "Itsumo Nando Demo" from "Spirited Away". And the third one is "Home Sweet Home" from "Grave of the Fireflies" (sung by Amelita Galli). The last one doesn't really count since it's not japanese, but the crackling distorted sound teleports you directly in the grammophone era.

"Rouge no dengon" is a japanese cover of a french song a little old but not so much. "Itsumo Nando Demo" is a song by Kimura Yumi, an old lady that seems to be quite respected in Japan. I think all were made to sound old and nostalgic for the audience.
>"favorite song - diva"
I didn't get what you're talking about.

Thank you for the information, Chron. I had hoped that you would tell me if about songs that belong in the "oldie" category that I don't know yet, but that's my fault because I only "asked" indirectly ;-P
So let me ask directly this time: Do any of you know about more songs besides the one I mentioned that belong in the "oldies" category?
P.s. Tsuka, when my HD crashed one time, I had to rename all my mp3s, because when I recovered them they were only listed somewhat like this:file056, file4561 ect. Let me tell you how I discovered all the names to all the anime tracks I had: I listened to the lyrics and typed them phonetically into google! I can tell you that was a hassle! But it's very rewarding when you find the title (and the lyrics) of a song. Anyway, I guess I will have to use the same technique with this "Hit the Road, Jack!" song ^__~

Kaimono BUGI
Tsuka a écrit :"favorite song - diva"
I named the video we're talking about "Diva" (see previous link).
The title of the song is Kaimono BUGI (Shopping Boogie).
I also found the Romaji to the song:
