Paris, France - August 24, 2004 - There is a new company in the animation industry ? GO-N Productions, backed by Japanese animation company GDH, was recently formed in Paris, France.
A partnership was formed on June 4, 2004 in Paris to establish GO-N Productions by three partners ? Eric Garnet (previously Producer at Antefilms, France), Anne de Galard (formerly Head of development in the same company) who both have great experience in the French and European markets, and GDH K.K., a leading enterprise of Japanese animation, have decided to join forces to develop and produce French and European animation. Furthermore GO-N Productions and GDH will investigate Japanese / French collaboration to develop business opportunities for the two companies.
GO-N Productions is determined to make use of GDH's creative Japan-US network and take advantage of GDH's operations in the Japanese and Asian markets. GDH plans to closely collaborate with GO-N Productions to strengthen its entry in the EU, including searching for original stories and graphic design from France and the creation of French/Japanese animation. The two companies intend to leverage their partner's strengths in production to work on global joint production projects and facilitate the entrance of each in the partner's domestic market.
GDH has an overseas base in Los Angeles and London and is actively promoting overseas exposure of its consumer brands (Gonzo and Gonzino). Through the partnership with GO-N Productions and its investment in the company, GDH plans to further develop global titles and is specifically looking to implement expansion of business opportunities in the world market.

Voila, comme cela, pas de polémiques et le sujet peut reprendre sans heurts, et chacun repartira en pensant ce qu'il veut. Simple, non ?
Je ne savais pas que les boss de Gonzo avaient déjà des bureaux en Angleterre et aux USA ... donc en gros ce serait pas un studio de prod à la japonaise en france mais plus un partenariat avec des gens de chez nous pour ratisser des idées et s'implanter en occident ... j'espere que ça aboutira a des projets intéressants.
Oh oui les français ont tellement à apprendre aux japonais en animation de qualité. Ouh la la oui oui. Comment tirer au flan à la machine à café. Comment sucer Michel Ocelot. Pfrrrr )3)

Niveau internationalisation à signaler que Gonzo produira prochainement une OAV de GI Joe ... et qu'ils viennent d'être primé via un un MTV Award aux USA, remporté dans la catégorie "Viewer's Choice" pour le clip de Linkin Park "Breaking the Habit".
